Pregnancy usually occurs around the ovulation period, the time when your ovary releases egg in the fallopian tube. If you are having regular periods, ovulation will take place midway between your menstrual periods.
Ovulation usually happens midway between the first-day of 2 consecutive periods, but this can vary from the eight day to the twentieth day of a 28-day cycle.
Researchers calculate the average risk at varying times in a monthly cycle of a woman, but you should know that your risk can be lower or higher.

You will have the highest risk of pregnancy by having unprotected sex one or two days before your ovulation starts; when the ovary releases the egg.
This is a 30% chance. The risk of having unprotected sex and getting pregnant three days prior to ovulation is 15%. You will have a 12% chance on the ovulation day. [1]

How likely would I get pregnant if I got my period from the 1-4 days and had unprotected sex on the 12th?
Hi, Usually the ovulation day is 14 days before the first day of next period. So if it was around that time, there are high chances.
I had unprotected sex on the 18th of February and March 3 haven’t had my period I’m I pregnant or no..I’ve been bleeding but not my period just when I have sex I bleed…ughhh …..HELP
Jessica, bleeding during sex can be because of several reasons including an injury to the vagina walls or an infection. Please consult your doctor.
I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend for the first time on the 4th (six days ago). He claims he didn’t cum inside me because he has anxiety and was too nervous. But the whole idea of precum is what’s freaking me out. I took the Plan B pill 26 hours later. At first I was cramping, then I was bloated and gassy, and now I just have to pee a lot. And I feel like I’ve gained a little bit of weight. I don’t know if it’s just from my first time having sex, taking the pill, or possibly being pregnant. I’m way too young to have a baby, please help.
Hi, as you have taken the Plan B pill, the chances of pregnancy are very very low. Don’t worry about the bloating and other things, these are often the after effects of the pill. In case, you don’t get your period next time, then take a pregnancy test, though I don’t think you will need it.
Also, for the future, never ever have sex without condom until you are trying! All the best.
