Timing is always important when couples are trying to get pregnant. This is because the conditions have to be right for the sperm and egg to meet up for fertilization. To take your BBT, you would use a basal body thermometer. These are more sensitive than regular ones, and they can show the changes in temperature really well.

Since you cycle is 28days, you fertile days are midway this period, i.e 14th,15th and 16th day from the day you start menstruating. this means the first day you start your flow would be the day 1. doesnt mean you cannot be pregnant if you have sex some days prior to the 14th day. So on the average, it’s advisable you start having sex from the 10th to 11th day because sperm cells can survive in the feminine genital tract for up to 72 hours and dies off if their is no egg to bring forth fertilization.
