Hi. I am a mother of a baby boy. I had a regular 26 day cycle. On 19 Dec 2017 I had period till the 25th. Then I found brown spotting on 3rd Jan which turned to light bleeding for 4 days. I was worried consulted with doctor did an ultrasound took medicine and everything was ok. After that I had started regular period again 14 Jan till 20 and after one week on 26 Jan brown spotting started again which again turns to light bleeding. Should I be worried?

You could be experiencing ovulation bleeding as it seems to coincide with the fertile period. So it’s possible that the change in estrogen is causing the reaction your body is having, especially if it’s happening at the same time period every month.
I saw my period from 2nd to 6th of January and am seeing it again being 28th of January after heavy sex….please what could be the cause???

Because you had your period the first week of the month, it’s quite possible to have it again on the 28th. A 28 day cycle would have landed you at the 30th of January so you would only be about two days early. So yes it’s highly possible.

It’s quite possible that she just got her period early. With her having it from the 1st to the 3rd every month it’s seems that she’s on a 30 or 31 day cycle. If she got it on the 28th, that can definitely be normal.

Generally getting an actual period means that you are not pregnant. If there were changes in your life, stressors, medications, it could have affected you period. If the period is not actually a period and just light spotting that could be implantation bleeding. If you think you may be, head on out to the store and pick up a pregnancy test.
Hii I got my periods on 2nd dec and again on 26th dec. But on 26th dec periods there was bleeding for only 2 days and very light and again I got my periods on 12th jan and it was like mnthly periods bleeding..is there any problem regarding my hormones?

Generally, you could be ovulating at different times.If you have always been regular I would keep track of them and if you are concerned or are trying to get pregnant and having a problem, then you could make an appointment and give them all the information. Otherwise the original bleeding/spotting could have been ovulation spotting.

It could still be that you are ovulating at different times, or could be stress related, weight related, hormone related. I didn’t say you had to be pregnant. So if you are concerned about how often you are getting your period or your cycles, make an appointment with your doctor.

While it could mean you are pregnant, the only way to know for sure is by taking a pregnancy test. However, if that was in fact a second period for you on January 2nd, you might have to wait until your next anticipated cycle date to find out, or take a trip to the doctor.

There are a few things that can cause it. If it’s just spotting, it could be a pregnancy. It could also be a miscarriage if it’s heavier. Depending on your age it could also be the start of menopause. Other health conditions can also mimic periods. Recommendation is to make an appointment with your doctor, especially if you are normally regular.

I could be a few things. One could be pregnancy. Have you taken a pregnancy test, especially considering your period is more than a week late. Emergency contraceptive is anywhere from 52% to 100% effective and the sooner you take it the more effective it is. However, they are now saying that if you have a high BMI it could be less effective. Recommendation would be to take a pregnancy test, and also remember that taking additional hormones can disrupt your cycle.
