The abortion is a harsh procedure, not only because it is controversial, but also because the risks it involves on the health of a woman. It is true that every woman is entitled to choose when to become a mother, but it is always best to be safe rather than going through such a procedure. After an abortion, your body won’t just have to recover physically, since it is an invasive procedure, but hormonally as well, as a major process of pregnancy is stopped. Pregnancy involves the release of various hormones and substances in the body of a woman to
How Many Abortions Can You Have Before You Are At risk?
Hi, just found that I’m pregnant, I had an abortion 3 years ok. I’ve been taking antibiotics now for over a year for my acne. Do you think this will affect my babies growth. I got pregnant by mistake but thinking of having an abortion
Hi Dai, depending on the antibiotic that you are taking it could affect pregnancy. However, the only way o determine if it’s safe is to discuss with your doctor. They know which ones are considered safe during pregnancy and which ones aren’t. They might change what you are taking or consider taking you off it while you are pregnant if you consider going through with it.
Hello. Have had 6 abortions and am again 3 weeks pregnant, is it possible i can do another abortion and get pregnant in future when the right time comes. ??
Hi Jane, yes it is possible to have another abortion. But considering how many you have had you might want to consider a regular form of birth control. Having multiple surgical abortions won’t affect your fertility but it could leave scar tissue that might inhibit the ability to hold a pregnancy or have issues with the cervix in the future.
Hi I am 25 year’s old I am now 18 week in to my pregnancy i have had two abortions already is it safe to do an abortion agin?
Hi Millicent, you can still get an abortion and it is safe. Down the road you could have scar tissue that could cause issues with pregnancy but nothing that generally cannot be helped. IN the future though, as is recommended to everyone, if you aren’t trying to grow your family, a reliable form of birth control should be used.
Hi, i had a surgical abortion in june 2015, and a medicational one in January this year. I am 4 days late for my menses. Is it possible i am pregnant? And if so, can i get an abortion without getting harmed?
Hi Rama, yes you can have another abortion without being medically harmed, however if you aren’t trying to get pregnant I would recommend finding another form of regular protection at this point. Surgical abortions, while safe, don’t affect your fertility but can bring about scar tissue that can create a less than perfect home for a fetus. Good luck.
Hi, on the 5th of March, my girl friend was pregnant for 6 weeks, and she opted for invasion as a method of abortion, and on the 5th of April I was having sex with her and the condom burst, though I never released on her but she just confirmed from the doctor that she is pregnant again, can she go for another abortion?
Hi Nalx, Yes she can have another abortion. Just as a side note, since you are using protection, if that happens again there are emergency contraceptives that will prevent pregnancy without her having to go through an abortion (such as Plan B, which prevents pregnancy if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex after a failed method). But can she have another one, yes.
Hi I had abortion two months ago and now I’m pregnant again. Is it safe to have abortion again?
Hi LJ, is it safe, yes. However if you aren’t trying to have a child, some form of birth control is recommended.
Hi have had 9 abortions in 10 years, had a miscarriage last year out and want to have a baby now but it’s difficult to get pregnant now..it is possible I’m may have gone to infertile
Hi Dianne, having abortions will not affect your ability to get pregnant or your fertility. But if you have had multiple surgical abortions you could be dealing with scar tissue in your cervix and/or uterus, which while rare could affect pregnancies. If that’s the route you have gone and you have trouble holding a pregnancy, I would make an appointment with your doctor to get checked out. It also could be genetic issues which again a doctor can go over with you. Good luck.
I’ve done my 1st abortion in 2013….and now at 2018 um again pregnant and don’t wanna take baby now, because my carrier is still not started…is it safe for me??…note that I’ve no baby, and not ready to take it
Hi SDK, assuming meaning is it safe to have another abortion, yes it is. It will not affect your ability to have children later as long as there are no complications.
I’ve had an abortion in November 2017 and im about two weeks pregnant now I’ve had 3 abortions total is it safe to get another one now?
Hi Hannah, is it safe? Yes. SHould you use it as a regular form of birth control, no. I would recommend if you keep planning on having abortions and don’t want to actually be pregnant at this time to utilize a reliable form of birth control.
I had miscarriage last aug 2017 and I had abortion last march 2016. I’m 5 weeks now. Is abortion again risky on this? Can I still be pregnant with a healthy baby in the future? I’m 23 yrs old
Hi Sarah, as long as you are having it done at a reputable clinic, it’s not dangerous, but you are most likely already aware of any risks associated with abortions. However, it won’t affect your ability to carry a healthy baby and pregnancy in the future. That being said, if you aren’t trying to grow/start your family, a reliable method of birth control would be advisable.
But it won’t affect my health and having a baby in the future if I undergo d&c again? after 7 months from the last time I had d&c
No Sarah it won’t. As long as it’s done by a medical professional and there are no issues, then no you shouldn’t have a problem.
Hi am jessy,I had 7 abortions in 5 years.Am 23 years old .will it effect my parental career?I used misoprostol & mifepristone from the beginning
Hi Jessey, no it won’t affect your ability to have children later in life. However if you aren’t trying to get pregnant, a regular form of birth control would be appropriate and something to seriously consider.
Hey were do u get those medication i prego but real early do it work to end pregnacy
Hi Denise, are you talking about the “abortion pill”? You have to contact your doctor for this.
My wife had medicated abortion 2 months back , 15 days before we had sex now again she missed her period and result showing positive for pregnancy. Is it safe to go again for abortion. This will be her 3rd abortion 2nd within 2 months.
Hi Rabin, Yes, your wife can have another one. A surgical one would have needed more healing time. I would recommend talking to her doctor. I would recommend using some form of birth control however if you aren’t trying to start or expand your family. While it won’t affect her fertility, it could affect her mentally in the long run as abortions aren’t only physical. Good luck.
No, don’t go for abortion it may lead to many complications in having child further as already 2 abortions happened.
This is not the case Satyajeet, abortions do not affect your ability to get pregnant in the future and carry a healthy pregnancy.
Hi I had 3 abortion two years ago and now I’m married for 8months without a child could that be the cause. I’m just 26 years.
Hello Nenye, if you are trying to get pregnant without success then see your doctor to find out why this is so.
I have 4 abortion can I still be pregnant
Hi Meddy, Yes you can still get pregnant.
Hi,
My wife had medical abortion one jan15. And today it’s feb15 and still she has not been in periods. We had unprotected sex. But I didn’t release in her vagina. Will she be pregnant? If yes Can we take misoprostol after a month of medical abortion again?
Hi Kiran, if she hasn’t had her period yet, then you don’t necessarily know when she ovulated, so it’s quite possible that she could become pregnant. Yes you can take a misoprostol at this point.
Hi I have 10 abortions. Is it possible to get pregnant again? Am 28 years
Hi Jenny, Having multiple abortions have no affect on your future ability to get pregnant as long as there were no complications to go along with it.
