Are you having problems with irregular periods or menstrual cycle? It seems as if many women have this problem today and they are looking for ways to regulate their menstrual cycle. There are many ways that you can do this, but this article will give you tips on how to regulate your menstrual cycle using natural methods and hopefully increase your fertility at the same time.
An irregular period is abnormal bleeding that is not typical of your menstrual cycle. With this problem, you could experience bleeding in between periods, very light or heavy periods, continuous periods or missing periods.
How to Regulate Your Menstrual Cycle
When regulating your menstrual cycle in the natural way, it is very important to eat foods which are rich in minerals and vitamins. Your diet should contain natural foods rather than items with artificial sweeteners and preservatives.
Choose fresh foods and high fiber foods and try to avoid alcohol, soft drinks and caffeine. You should also drink lots of water.
Exercising regularly can also help you to regulate your monthly cycle. You should try to exercise even if you have a busy schedule because this is vital for good health and might be necessary for you to maintain a normal cycle.
It is better to exercise daily, but you could start with just thirty minutes of exercise for at least three times weekly. It is important to mention that excessive exercise can affect your menstrual cycle so you should not overdue the fitness activities. Moderation is always the key for success.
Another way for you to regulate your monthly cycle using natural methods is to take multivitamins daily. Like most women, you might not be getting the right amount of minerals and vitamins from your daily diet. You should start to take a multivitamin every day and continue doing it for the rest of your life. You will be healthier in the end.
It’s worth mentioning that you can always check the local vitamin or health food store to find out about the different herbal supplements or vitamins which are recommended for regulating menstrual cycles. A number of these supplements have proven to be quite helpful in regulating menstrual cycles.
This last tip on how to regulate your menstrual cycle is very controversial and it involves darkening your room completely at nights while you sleep. It is believed that many irregularities in menstrual period or cycles are caused by the light shining in bedrooms.
You could try to change this by covering your windows and turning off all the lights at night. Even though this might not work for everybody, it is definitely worth a try. Who knows, your monthly menstrual cycle might become surprisingly more regular.
From January 2018, my period is always late for about 7 days until 13 days. Is it normal? Because I have lost 28 pounds starting from June 2017 and for the past 3 months, I did high intensity training. Does it affect to my period?
HI Juliani, yes that can be normal. Losing a larger amount of weight can affect your period by making it later than it usually is. As long as you are still within a healthy BMI I would consider that to be fine, maybe even your new normal.
My cycle became irregular after I had hpv and had to get the lining of my cervix burn. Now I have light to medium periods that last a lot of days then it stop and may not see anything for a while. My last period ended 4 days ago and I’m still having cramps. I’m 14 1/2 years old. Is this normal? Should I see a doctor? I’m really nervous and I’m not looking forward to a pelvic exam if I need one.
This is not normal.yes, you need to see a doctor to determine what is causing the pain. Don’t worry and try to relax during the pelvic exam, the more relaxed you are the easier it is.

Hi Mica, there are many reasons for late periods. Pregnancy is NOT the only reason. A sudden change in diet, exercise, any kind of medication or hormonal changes might be the reason as well. Have you feeling anything strange/unusual?
Btw withdrawal method is not safe at all, it’s like unprotected sex only. So until you want to get pregnant, use protection always.
I had the abortion pill done 02/20/16 and now it’s been 4 weeks; it’s 03/22/16 and still no sign of a period. I’m kind of freaking out because I have taken tests to see if I’m pregnant and I’m not and it comes out that I’m not pregnant. Are their ways I can start my period or things I can take 🙁 I have had sex but using protection.
What you’re experiencing is normal. A period can be several weeks late after an abortion. Continue to practice safe sex and give it some time.
