i had a surgical termination 6 month ago and although my periods are back to the normal routine they are very vey light and last and last two days at a push. I have no symptoms after ovulation of swollen breasts or water retention, but I feel sick and have that pregnancy taste in my mouth. I had a second trimester abortion 4 weeks ago at 17 weeks. The first 2 days no bleeding, then after taking the cytotec to shrink uterous I began bleeding and cramping. This seemed normal. Since then I’ve had an average period, and then daily spotting after sex, orgasm without intercourse, and when i get extremely upset. The blood is dark brown so I’m assuming my body is still shedding old blood? (The doctor had to go in a second time with ultrasound aide to remove everything.) I remember a week afterwards having a green discharge that did clear up after a few days. Does any of this sound alarming as far as my health is concerned? Possible infection or anything?
Hi Lexi, The green discharge you are having is definitely not normal. This might be because of an infection, that can pass out to your partner while having sex and cause fertility problem within you. Your periods are going to be irregular for a while, sometimes you’ll miss a month or they wont last as long or be as heavy as usual. I had an abortion 28.01.16 and my periods are only just regulating. Hope you’re well, good luck x
