I had my cycle January 2-9, then on the 17th was spotting. Nothing today at all 18th. I track my cycles and it say I ovulated the 14th or 15th. Could this had had been implantation bleeding?

Implantation bleeding would occur closer to your period start date. It could have been ovulation bleeding which is possible. I would continue to track especially closer to your period start date.

Did you take a pregnancy test? At 8 days late I would recommend doing that. Spotting can be implantation bleeding which generally happens around the same time your period would.

Hi Vicky. I could be due to the drug. Because there are hormones in it, it can definitely affect your next menstrual cycle with regards to how heavy it is, when it starts, and how long it lasts. As long as you took it as recommended, then you shouldn’t worry about being pregnant as it is 99% effective.

Hi Jas. It’s quite possible that it’s implantation bleeding. It’s different than a regular period meaning that it’s not going to be as heavy as a regular period and can be only spotting or only seen when you wipe. Plus, you are right around the time of seeing it as generally it comes roughly the same time as your regular period. However, it can also be ovulation as well. Recommendation would be to take a pregnancy test if you miss your period.

My story is this had my tube clamp 5 years ago 8/14/12, ablation 7/21/16 then all of a sudden 11/25/17 wake up to a full cycle that lasted 3 days went to my gynecologist 4 day he said it shouldn’t happen again, well it did 12/21/17 so now here we are 1/15/18 I wake up to pinkish blood with mild cramping as if my cycle is starting but it only lasted a few hours….should I be worried?

Implantation bleeding would happen if you were but it would be much lighter than a regular period, it wouldn’t really mimic your actual pregnant. Most likely if you did get your regular period, even late, you aren’t pregnant. There are a lot of factors that could result in your period being later than normal.
