I came off my period 2 days ago, within that time I was in so much pain cramping. I looked it up it seems as if they are saying its ovulation cramps or left over blood. I have never felt ovulation cramps this painful and I don’t think I have left over blood isn’t any spotting happening at all. I am TTC I take Premama drink, a multi vit and prenatal. my husband is taking something as well to improve count ad quality. any insight or help. Thank you
Hello Alexus, is this still happening up until now?
yes as we speak, cramps like your worst day of your period but no blood and I’ve already been off for 2 days.
Hello Alexus d, let’s wait to see for a couple days if a period will come.
Hiya, having some issues not sure what to do. Last month’s period was couple days late started off brown guessing took while to come down. It’s been very regular the last year since coming off all contraception. This month I came on 5 days early and was very light only bright red blood when I wiped for 4 days on 4 day I woke up to extreme vertigo and I’ve been having blow-back and pelvic ache since 3 days after I last saw blood. I did a pregnancy test day before I came on as I didn’t feel right was negative obviously about to come on next morning but was a surprise as it was early.
Hello there Toni, all these body changes with regards to your cycle might have been hormonal. All the best.
tnx for the reply
I have multiple fibroids and my period is usually heavy and painful and lasts 4-5 days. However this month’s came with strong fever and severe cramping 3 days to the period with spotting. When it finally started it was heavy the 2nd to 3rd day with black blood clots and then stopped with light flow on the fourth day but on the seventh day I started having lower abdominal cramps, pains in my upper stomach and spotting. Please could it be pregnancy because the pms and the post symptoms are totally strange though me and my husband have being ttc.
Hello Bitty, this does not indicate pregnancy, take a pregnancy test to confirm if you might be pregnant or not. If this becomes a nuisance then see your doctor. All the best.
Hi there, when I was younger I had horrible painful periods but everything settled down eventually and it hasn’t been a major problem for a few years. I had a little boy last year, he’s now 10 months old, anyway, my last period was very very heavy and painful, it lasted the normal amount of time for me and then stopped, but the pain stayed, it’s now been 2 weeks and I’m still in a lot of pain, any ideas?
Hi there Toni, please see your doctor as this could mean many things, including presence of endometriosis. All the best.
Hello, my period lasted for a good 7 days and the third day as in today. I’m getting a pinch and cramping in my abdominal. And it started off small and now its like a alot more when I’m in a moving vehicle.
Hi there June, is it the first that you are experiencing these symptoms? These sound like cramps to me which is normal while menstruating. If it is abnormal to you and is of great cause for concern see your doctor.
I have a normal period 4-5 days … this times around it lasted almost 7 days. After my period, I have been in complete abdominal pain. Normally I know when it’s ovarian cyst. This time it’s different. I feel like I am pregnant again. Severe cramping, I cannot hold down any food, scents make me sick, I’ve been sick to my stomach since Saturday. Saturday I thought I was hungover with the vomiting but I’ve been experiencing severe nausea ever since. I can’t sleep on my stomach, my body hurts and I have a hard time waking up in the morning because of the nausea. Pregnancy test said negative on monday. Friends are telling me that there is a chance of pregnancy. Suggestions?
Hello there Marcy, this could mean so many things, I would advise you to see your doctor ASAP!
Hi Marcy,
I have the exact same thing happening to me and I am not pregnant. I went to the doctor but he couldn’t find anything yet. It’s really upsetting not knowing what is going on. I am waiting on more lab results now.
Could you figured something out?

Hello Sandra, I would advise that you see your doctor as soon as you can.
Hi ,
I’m 43 yrs old and I have had my period since I was 9. From day 1 I have had extreme menstrual cramps each month. I have always had my period about 6 to 8 days. The cramps got better after my first child, and all but one was natural birth. My last child I had when I was 26. I had a c-section. He was breech. I also had a irreversible tubal ligation all the same day. That kick started the cramps again and I suffer with those again at the beginning of my period.
Here is the problem now just according. I just finished my 10 day period and I am cramping like if it was the beginning. What could be the cause of this? This has NEVER happened before!
Hello there Shauna, see your general practitioner if you are seriously concerned. All the best.
Hey, so i was on depo and decided to stop, because of the side affects. After my shot was up, me and my bf were still having unprotected sex. Well i got a light period for like 2-3 days and now am having HORRIBLE cramps after my period. I took a pregnancy test at the hospital a few weeks ago, and it was negative. But we had had unprotected sex like 3 days before. Any suggestions?
Hello Heather, if you think you might be pregnant re-test in a week in the morning. All the best.
Hi I had my period for about 3days normally it’s 5days it was less than usual too we are trying for a baby
After my period a have cramping for 2 days now that’s the first time I ever had it
What do you think? Should I call the doctors??!
Thank you Aleks
Hello Aleks, do a pregnancy test as soon as you can to confirm if you are pregnant or not.
I suffer with endometriosis and only 2 months ago had my third laparoscopy in 9 years to remove it. I have always suffered with extremely painful and heavy periods which affects my back and make me feel sick and exhausted. I finished my period 4 days ago and already feel extremely crampy, tired and sick almost as though my period is already working on me. I feel the surgery may not have been as effective as previous. Has anyone experienced this before? I’m getting fed up having symptoms of periods throughout the month and rarely having a break. Any thoughts or previous experience would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello Leigh, sorry to hear you are experiencing this. Kindly check with your General Practitioner to confirm that this is regular after a laparoscopy. All the best.
I have been noticing recently with the last 2-3 cycles that I have pain on the lower right side of my pelvic area starting a week or two after my period has ended. I could of had these my whole menstrual life, but was diagnosed with breast cancer over the summer and now I seem to be more in tune to my body and what it is doing. But the pain is not like menstrual cramps at all, and they are only on the right side where I had ovarian cysts occur in my early 20s, which was over 15 years ago and I only had them that one time and they have never returned as far as I know. The pain I feel feels like when I hold my pee for too long and once I go, it takes the pain about half an hour to go away after emptying my bladder. It doesn’t go away, but that is what the pain feels like. Should this be something I should be concerned about?
Hi Misty, given your diagnosis of pregnancy yes this is something you should be worried about. We can’t take these things lightly, see your healthcare provider ASAP.
Alison,
I’m not pregnant.
I had unprotected sex 5days to my period, my period was 2 days late though I was cramping on the day I was originally supposed to get my period but no period.. So I induced it with hot water and lots of oranges very early in the morning and started spotting and I got my period later in the evening that day tho it was slower and lightly flowed than usual and after the 3rd day it ended but I’m still cramping so bad on the fourth day with spotting too.. Please what could be the cause. Help!!!!
Hello Shay, this is a bit irregular. If you have any real concerns that you might be pregnant I advise you to take a pregnancy test.
