Does multiple abortion cause infertility?
Having an abortion doesn’t usually affect your ability to get pregnant again at a later time. In rare cases, it can happen if you had a surgical abortion due to the scars and inflammation of the uterus but that is highly unlikely.
Hi,
I had sex on 15th October and multiple times end of October (can’t remember the exact dates). I took a few pregnancy tests on 5, 7 and 11th November, was all negative. I took another test on 21st November, it was positive. Took blood test for hcg on 23rd November, it says 5 weeks pregnancy. My second scanning on 2nd December, could hear heartbeat and around 6 to 7 weeks. Another scan on 4th January- 10 weeks 5 days with due date 27th July 2020. May I know when I had sex that conceived? Thanks
Hello Patty, your child is most likely conceived at the end of October, it is impossible to tell the exact date.
I was pregnant for 4 weeks five days. I had a medical abortion and bleed normally changing at most two pads a day for five days. In six days later the bleeding came back again and it looked like my normal menses and lasted for 7 days. About 8 days later I begin to feel cramps on the left and right side of my abdomen. And passing out clear odorless mucus discharge. The discharge is light and sometimes very thick and sticky. I remember passing out a very thick clear mucus that was very very stretchy like a membrane which I pulled out myself. And the discharge still comes with cramps on the left side and right side of my abdomen. Had severe headache just before the discharge and headaches became mild followed with the light cramps on both sides of my abdomen. Discharge continues for about three days. Is it normal please?. What is wrong
No, it’s not normal. With the history you provided, it looks like you have an infection. Get over-the-counter medications to relieve pain and get a vaginal examination done by your OB-GYN who prescribed medical abortion.
saw my first period on the 1st of DEC which lasted one day then the 2 one on 28th same month that lasted for 4 days. when am i seeing my other period?
Hello Marie, your next period date should be 25. January.
please my last period was on 4th December 2019 and I was expecting it on 30th December 2019 but nothing show, and I am having pain in my nipples. I have down pt test but it was negative
Pregnancy tests can give false-negative results, so if you still didn’t get your period I recommend taking another.
I had a surgical abortion about 5 years ago and now it has messed with my period being irregular and don’t know when ovulation is coming anymore. I am married now for 2 years and still no sign of pregnancy. could it be that there is something wrong with me?
It could be due to damage to your uterine lining during the surgical procedure that was done years back. Please consult your fertility clinic and have a Transvaginal Scan to rule out structural abnormalities of the uterus.
The best plan is to opt for assisted reproductive techniques in your case if the fertility issue prevails.
I had 28 days cycle and last time I had sex after my period was continuous I was expecting to become pregnant but all of a sudden I have my menstruation again. Please advice if my period start at 18th November what is the best time to have sex.I really need to have a child.
Hello Welyn, sorry for the late answer. Your next most fertile time is from: Friday 29 Nov 2019 to Sunday 01 Dec 2019
Your predicted ovulation day is: Sunday 01 Dec 2019
The most fertile days are the three days leading up to and including ovulation. Having sex during this time gives you the best chance of getting pregnant. Ovulation usually occurs 15 days from the start of your period. Good luck.
I did a surgery abortion on the 31th of September and today is 4th of November already and am yet to see my period what could be the problem please.
It could take a little time for the uterine lining to regrow and your periods to start after an abortion. The periods may be lighter during the first few cycles but eventually, become regular with time.
My last period was on November 1 and I had unprotected sex on the 2nd using the pull out method what is the likely hood of me being pregnant?
You have a really low chance of getting pregnant.
I saw my last period on 13 july and I had a sex with my husband on 20th July. Is it possible that I can be pregnant because am expecting to see my next menstruation.
Hi Jane, the 20th of July would have been outside of your expected fertile period so you most likely wound’t be pregnant. You should be seeing your period within the next day or so. If not and you aren’t sure, take a pregnancy test at the end of the week.
I started my period 2nd of July 2019 and it ended on the 8th of july, and my next period should be on the 29th of July again… I had unprotected sex on the 20th and 21st of dat same month…. Please want to know if I will see my next period or not…. Thanks, waiting for the reply
Hi Monic, your fertile period was from roughly the 12th to the 16th so you had sex outside of that period. Most likely you wouldn’t be pregnant. However if you don’t see your period, take a test.
I had a medical abortion and bled for 10 days. My first period returned about 4 weeks later. It’s been almost 20 days and I am still bleeding from my period though not as heavy as the 1st 4 days. Is this normal or do I have retained products of conception?
Hi Cynthia, while periods can go haywire after pregnancy (which you were pregnant so even without having a baby your body is still going through the same hormonal changes). Many women report that their first period is the worst. With that being said bleeding for 20 days is a bit excessive. I would contact your doctor and discuss it with them.
Hey I had protected sex now it’s. I ddnt have any contact with the sperm because the condom did not break it’s now a week after am feeling slight pains on my abdominal is it My mentrual or anything else
HI Nitya, a week after you’re probably suffering from something other than pregnancy.
I am trying to get pregnant, but not yet pregnant. I don’t know when I am ovulating. please help
Hi Abide, honestly without all the information we wound’t be able to help you. However, some good advice would be to start tracking your periods, the firs and the last day for at least 2-3 months. During that timeframe, use the information and go to our Fertility Calendar to see when your fertile period would be. That would be the best time to have sex in order to get pregnant.
I saw my period 12 may and I had unprotected sex on may 28. Is there any chance of me being pregnant?
Hi Anne, your fertile period based on a 28 day cycle would have been from May 22nd-26th. If your cycle is longer it may be a bit different, so it’s possible. The only way to know is when you are due for your next period (roughly June 9th) in order to determine if you are or not. If you miss your period, take a pregnancy test. Good luck.
Hey I had medical abortion feb 15 2019
I bled right after taking pills for about 3 days but it was not very heavy but I was bleeding if I moved or did exercise. It is April 20th and I have not had a period and took a test and it says pregnant. No I did not have sex after abortion. What is going on? Could I still be pregnant? If so can I still go and have the baby?
Hi there, if you are still getting a positive pregnancy test at this point I would recommend a visit to your doctor ASAP. That most likely means that the abortion was not successful and they will have to do a surgical one. Generally after a medical abortion that has failed, the baby would not be viable. Good luck and see your doctor as soon as possible if you haven’t already.
