I was 4 week pregnant n I had medical abortion on 17th June. I took 600 mg of mifepristone and 48 hours later 400 mg of misoprostol. I bled for 1 week and I could even see my embryo after having misoprostol. I went and consulted my doctor as on the 2nd week there was no bleeding. She said it was OK. Now On the 3rd week it is bleeding bt not heavily. Is it normal?
Hi! Yes that can be normal. You were pretty early on, your period can show up relatively soon, or it could be ovulation bleeding. But if your doctor said that you were okay and everything passed, then unless you are bleeding through a pad every two hours, you are okay.
Hi, I had a medical abortion 48 hours ago at 9+5 weeks, I started having heavy bleeding 3-4 hours after which would have been 8pm, the next morning the bleeding completely slowed down and now it’s a like a light period, I’ve had no feeling of knowing I’ve lost the fetus either.. Hi Mane, are we talking about the abortion pill? You could bleed for a bit afterwards and can bleed for a few weeks but generally the earlier are in your pregnancy the less time you bleed, but it’s individual. So yes that’s normal if we are talking about a medical abortion.

Hi Racheal, that could be normal. As long as it isn’t severe, interfering with your life you should be fine. It can take more time than that for your body to finish it’s healing.
Hello Daniella, I was 4weeks pregnant and had a medical abortion on 13th, after 2hours bled and i think the fetus was flushed out however after 8days my bleeding stopped and unfortunately had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and without wasting time i took aftersex pills(IPill to be exact). Hi Nicki, if you took a morning after pill and if you just had your abortion, you could just be spotting from the mix of extra hormones as well as your body preparing itself for your next period. I would wait another few weeks and then take a pregnancy test.

Hi Vee Ann, I could say that it might be normal. If you have no fever or anything you should be fine. However, you can also bleed for up to 3 weeks after an abortion. Some bleed longer than others. If you are a still feeling sick though I would recommend a doctor if possible.

Hi Shirley, it’s normal to bleed anywhere from one to three weeks after an abortion, the further along you were, generally the longer you will bleed (however that’s not always the case). So it seems to be within the three weeks so that’s normal.
