It is possible for you to conceive right after your period ends as this time you are just starting to enter your fertility window. However, your chances will be very low in reality.

Understanding the Menstrual Cycle

This means you could get pregnant very soon after your period ends if you ovulate early, particularly if your menstrual cycle is naturally short.
If you have a short cycle and long periods, it is still possible for your ovaries to release an egg very quickly after your period ends. This egg can get fertilized as normal, and pregnancy occurs if and when that happens.
Of course, you should also remember that your chances of getting pregnant immediately after your period will increase each day after the bleeding stops.
If you have been trying to conceive desperately, then this will be a good time to have sex to increase your chances.

Hi Nancy, could be ovulation bleeding at this time depending on when it was. DIseases if they were bleeding but nothing else unless they have a disease. COuld have been your period early, it does happen.

Okay so my period is normal. It’s a 5-6 day period. The last time I got my period was the 11th of May and ended onthe 16th. HI Emerlynn, you could be. the 21 was the anticipated start of your fertile period but it could have been sooner for you depending on the ovulation period. I would wait to take a test however until you actually miss your period.

Hi Rory, you won’t know until she gets her next period honestly. You most likely would be good at this point but it also depends on how long her cycle is as well. A 28 day cycle would have meant that you were a day before her fertile period. If her cycle is shorter than that, then you might be in her fertile period.

Hi Stars, can you clarify the dates? It really depends on how long your cycle is ona regular basis as to when you are fertile. Generally your fertile period is about 5 days after your period ends, however if you have a shorter cycle it could be different.

Hi Kayla, it could be a few things. It could be ovulation bleeding, I would wait to test until after about a week after your missed period, especially with a cycle that short. And even given that you have a short cycle, I would wait until after June 5th to take a test as you are due for your next cycle on the 1st. You are testing way to early to get a positive on a test at this point.

Hi Migos, within two days of having sex, no she would not have any symptoms of being pregnant. And also the day after her cycle ends, if she is on a 28 day cycle she most likely wouldn’t be fertile either. In the future though, which you probably already understand, use protection if you aren’t looking to start your family yet.
